Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Paavo Väyrynen will visit Kazan, the capital of the Tatarstan Republic in the Russian Federation, on 2–4 February. Minister Väyrynen will be accompanied by a 30-person business delegation.
The aim of the export promotion trip is to further the business possibilities of Finnish companies in Tatarstan, among others, in construction and technology projects.
During his visit Minister Väyrynen will meet with the President and Prime Minister of Tatarstan and the Mayor of Kazan. He will also attend a Finnish–Russian economic seminar. There will be an opportunity to become acquainted with the region’s industry and technology park as well.
In addition, a meeting of the Finland–Tatarstan Regional Working Group under the Finnish–Russian Intergovernmental Commission for Economic Cooperation will be held during the trip.
